Pitaya Plus has gained new distribution in over 100 Ralph’s stores in Southern California. Ralph’s is the first mainstream grocer to carry the all-natural pitaya (more commonly known as dragonfruit) drink, which is also distributed in hundreds of natural foods stores along the East and West coasts, including Whole Foods, Sprouts, and New Leaf. Pitaya Plus also signed a new distribution agreement with DPI Specialty Foods, which will handle the roll-out in Ralph’s beginning in August.
“We couldn’t be more excited,” said Pitaya Plus founder Chuck Casano. “We were approached by the Ralph’s natural food buyer [who is] a big fan of our products and our social mission of creating new job opportunities for single-mothers in poverty-stricken communities in Nicaragua. Our plan from the beginning was to work hard to own the natural channel and grow out from there, it is amazing that it is actually happening.”
Along with DPI, Pitaya Plus is distributed by High 5 Distributors in metro New York, and Green Shoots Distribution throughout the natural channel.
