Distribution Roundup: Detoxwater Expands Nationally; Costco Adds Bundaberg in the Northwest

Aloe-infused water brand detoxwater has announced new distribution at retailers across the U.S. Detoxwater is now available at approximately 1,700 retailers from coast-to-coast, including recent placement at Albertsons, Safeway, ShopRite, Gelson’s and MOM’s Organic Market. The brand also completed distribution agreements with national natural foods wholesalers United Natural Foods and KeHE Distributors.

The announcement comes on the heels of a seed round of investment for detoxwater’s parent company Superleaf. The company has not revealed details about the investors nor the financial stake, however, founder Kenneth Park stated that, along with new distribution, Superleaf is “confident that we are set up for success going into the next phase of brand-building.”

Costco Adds Australia’s Top-Selling Ginger Beer to Northwest Locations

Bundaberg ginger beer is now available for a limited time at Costco stores in the club retailer’s Northwest region. The product is also sold at Costco locations in the Midwest and over 8,200 retail locations in total across the U.S. The news follows a big year for Bundaberg, which claimed a 130 percent increase in sales in the U.S. mainstream grocery market over the past year. Michael Gorman, U.S. Country Manager for Bundaberg Brewed Drinks pointed to sustained consumer demand for craft beverages as a key driver for the brand’s growth.

LemoncocoLemoncoco Picks Up Placement at Cost Plus

Specialty retailer Cost Plus World Market has added Lemoncoco, a non-carbonated beverage made with lemon flavor and coconut cream, to all of its 278 locations nationwide. Launched in January by craft soda company Jones Soda, Lemoncoco is “inspired by the distinctive lemon and coconut stands found along the cobblestoned streets of Rome.” Cost Plus is the first national retailer of Lemoncoco.

Monster Energy has inked a deal with White Castle. The energy drink brand is now available at all locations of the fast-food hamburger chain.

Veggemo, a brand of dairy-alternative products that are made from vegetables, has signed a license and distribution agreement that will bring that drinks to China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

CideRoad has partnered with three DSD distributors in a deal that will expand availability of its switchel drinks from New York to Washington D.C.
