Nutpods Are Now Whole30-Approved

SEATTLE, Wash., May 23, 2016 –  nutpods, the dairy-free creamer made from almonds and coconuts that launched one year ago this month, is now Whole30 Approved, joining 43 other products in the Whole30 group. This approval comes as nutpods expands nationally at retail and continues to grow online. Whole30 Founder and CEO, Melissa Hartwig, was drawn to the company’s commitment to clean label ingredients and its complete line of unsweetened creamers.  It is the only alternative creamer to be granted Whole30 Approved status.

“nutpods is a perfect fit for our line of approved products as it doesn’t contain any unhealthy additives or added sugar. So many of our followers find their morning coffee or tea ritual the hardest thing to change during our program, and now they’ll have an amazing replacement for their half-and-half or other sugar-laden creamer choice,” says Hartwig.

The nutpods team is passionate about providing healthy, delicious options to consumers and is proud that their products are also certified Vegan, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, and OU Kosher. Founder & CEO Madeline Haydon, lactose-intolerant, launched the company after failing to find a suitable half-and-half replacement. “I just didn’t think consumers should have to ‘settle’ for something that only tasted ok, or had lots of bad ingredients in it. I knew there had to be a better option, so I decided to create it myself. I spent a year and a half perfecting the recipe.” That commitment to high quality has paid off: the products now have 900 Amazon reviews with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Whole30 and nutpods will celebrate the new partnership at PaleoFX this weekend (May 27-29) during a happy hour sponsored by Barefoot Provisions. nutpods will also sponsor three PaleoFX dinners, the VIP lounge at the conference, and the VIP houses to share the product with consumers and influencers in the Paleo community. “Paleo folks have always loved nutpods and this just gives them one more reason to do so. You might assume we’re only for vegans or vegetarians since we’re a plant-based product, but the truth is that people come to our products for so many reasons. It has a clean label, no sweetener, and tastes great, so many people looking for a healthy lifestyle can benefit from it,” says Haydon. nutpods is also used in sweet and savory recipes, as seen on their website, www.nutpods.com.
