Leadership Moves at VEB

The Coca-Cola Company’s Venturing and Emerging Brands (VEB) unit announced several leadership shakeups today, signalling a sharper focus on Hansen’s as several executives take on expanded to duties involving the soda brand.

Jimmy Faa, currently VEB’s General Manager of Craft Beverages, will be transitioning to Senior Vice President and Global Leader of Juice, Dairy & Plant-based Beverages, effective April 1. VEB’s current brands in these categories include Fairlife, Core Power, and Suja.

Daniel Barba, Vice President of Marketing & Commercial for Hansen’s Beverage Co., will take on expanded responsibilities. Barba, a recent hire who joined VEB in February following a three year tenure at Kashi, will now lead the day-to-day operations of Hansen’s as well as Blue Sky Soda and Hubert’s Lemonade. Barba’s new duties come with a reshaped Hansen’s leadership team which will report directly to him, including the addition of Rachel Luke as VP of commercial business development, Amanda Baiada as senior manager of sparkling beverages, and Jared Zack as senior manager for Hubert’s, among others.

ZICO President and General Manager Tom Larsen will also be taking an interim assignment to oversee the brand, preparing it “for their next stage of emerging brand growth,” according to VEB President Scott Uzzell. Barba will report directly to both Larsen and Uzzell.

The shift in management roles comes several weeks after Matthew Mitchell, VP of Investments & Ventures at VEB, announced he was leaving his position to head a newly formed division focusing on emerging brands in Japan.
