Once Upon a Coconut Splashes into Retail with Big Geyser

New York-based coconut water brand Once Upon a Coconut splashed into retail through a new partnership with Big Geyser, the brand announced last week.

The distribution partnership brings the brand’s coconut water to retailers across the New York metropolitan area, Nassau/Suffolk and Westchester counties. According to a press release, Once Upon a Coconut’s expansion from direct-to-consumer to retail shelves is reflective of the brand’s strong growth in the category.

The coconut water category is once again seeing significant traction and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 11.71% from 2022 to 2029, according to Data Bridge.

“Once Upon a Coconut will have expanded reach directly via Big Geyser’s distribution network throughout the greater New York area, which is the largest beverage market in the country,” said Once Upon a Coconut CEO John Chiorando, in the release. “Consumers will be seeing their favorite coconut water on the shelves at grocery stores, convenience stores and other retail outlets this March.”

Founded in 2020, the brand currently offers three varieties: 11 oz. Pure Coconut Water, 11 oz. Sparkling Coconut Water + Energy and 1 Liter Pure Coconut Water. Pure Coconut water has 70 calories per can while Sparkling Coconut Water + Energy has 75 calories per can and boasts 95 mg of natural caffeine from green coffee beans. According to the release, new blends will be launching soon.

Once Upon a Coconut’s drinks are available nationwide on the brand’s website and Amazon.

Odyssey Elixir Launches in GNC, Thrive Market and Fantastic Fungi Forager Box

Functional mushroom energy drink maker Odyssey Elixir announced its launch in select GNC stores nationwide, in addition to placements in Thrive Market online and in the September Fantastic Fungi Forager Box.

“We are thrilled to execute our omnichannel strategy by adding these very significant points of sale to our distribution channels,” said Odyssey Wellness founder and CEO Scott Frohman, in a press release. “We’re committed to a multi-channel distribution strategy that targets everywhere our consumer shops.”

Founded in 2021, the Florida-based brand produces a line of sparkling energy elixirs featuring adaptogenic mushrooms designed to promote energy, focus, clarity and mood. Available in four flavors – Passion Fruit Orange/Guava, Blackberry Lemon Twist, Orange Ginger and Dragon Fruit Lemonade – each 12 oz. can features cordyceps and lion’s mane and boasts 85 mg of natural caffeine from green tea.

RYSE Up Goes Nationwide with Walmart

RYSE Up Sports Nutrition has expanded its retail presence in Walmart store locations nationwide as well as online.

Founded in 2017, the Texas-based brand produces a line of nutritional supplements. Walmart now carries seven of the brand’s supplements, including: Element Pre-Workout Sunny D, Pre-Workout Ring Pop, BCAA Focus Kool-Aid, BCAA Focus Sunny D, Loaded Protein Jet-Puffed Marshmallow, Loaded Protein Moon Pie and Pump Cap Max. Additionally, RYSE Fuel Energy Drinks will be available at select Walmart stores and on Walmart.com.
