Rise Oat Milks Expand Across Natural Channel
Rise Brewing Co. continues to build an audience outside of cold brew coffee fans, as the New York-based brand announced new natural channel distribution for its organic oat milks this week.
The brand’s Original and Vanilla oat milks are set to enter all Fred Meyer locations later this month, while Original and Chocolate are going into all Harris Teeter Stores. All three have also landed placement at 41 Fresh Market stores, or all locations with aseptic milk sets.
The new locations bring the brand’s total distribution footprint for its oat milks to 4,100 locations. The oat milk segment currently represents 12% of Rise’s total business.
The brand is also teasing a new oat milk SKU that will be available exclusively in Sprouts starting in August and through September.
There’s also movement within its nitro cold brew range: the brand has launched all five 7 oz canned SKUs and four of its multi-serve cartons launched in Wegmans last month, while Meijer are adding our Original Black, Oat Milk Latte and Oat Milk Vanilla Latte into the retailer’s refrigerated grab-and-go sets this month (259 stores) and Target’s California stores have taken on Original Black, Oat Milk Latte and Oat Milk Mocha Latte.
Rise’s newest flavor, Salted Caramel, will be launching in all Fresh Market stores in September.
Bloody Gerry Lands in Ralph’s Locations Across Southern California
Bloody Gerry, maker of an all-natural Bloody Mary & Michelada mix, has landed in Ralph’s Fresh Fare stores across Southern California, according to the company. The new distribution adds 94 new locations to the brand’s retail footprint.
“Ralph’s is where we grocery shop […] we made this happen together so there is an incredible amount of pride we’re feeling,” said Jennifer Becerril, co-founder of Bloody Gerry, in a press release. “When Ralphs accepted us I couldn’t believe it. This is our dream coming true.”
The Venice-based company was born out of Jenn and Gerry Becerril’s kitchen when Gerry set out to create his own Bloody Mary mix from scratch that was free of high fructose corn syrup and other unnatural ingredients. Jenn and Gerry then decided to turn the mix into a CPG at the demand of their family and friends. The bottled savory mix is crafted with 10 all-natural ingredients, including organic California tomatoes and California lemon juice.
“We knew we had something special the moment our recipe was converting Bloody Mary haters into Bloody Mary lovers,” Becerril said in the release.
Looking ahead, Bloody Gerry is formulating a new flavor expansion and working to become USDA Certified Organic. In addition to Ralph’s, Bloody Gerry’s mix can be found in Total Wine & More stores throughout Southern California and specialty retailers in several other states. The products are also available direct-to-consumer on the Bloody Gerry website and on Amazon.
