Dr Pepper may be enjoying a recent surge in popularity, but it’s not the only star in Keurig Dr Pepper’s evolving portfolio of owned brands and partners. As affiliates like Polar (sparkling water), Electrolit (hydration) and La Colombe (coffee) bring their individual forces to bear, KDP’s COO Eric Gorli says it’s all part of the company’s philosophy of having a beverage for “every need, anytime, anywhere.”
“Legacy DPSG always had Allied Brands, but it was more transactional or opportunistic,” said Gorli at BevNET Live Summer 2024 last month. While those brands “came and went,” the merger with Keurig — which itself outflanked competitors by forging alliances with Starbucks, Dunkin’ and other established players — helped spark a pivot. “It truly has to be a win-win long-term arrangement, and I think that’s a big mindshift in what we saw before.”
