Premier Protein

For one of the largest brands in dairy-based protein shakes, this feels like kind of a big deal. They’re launching in Chocolate, Vanilla and Coffee nationwide at Target and on Amazon, as well as other retailers. For more information, go to premierprotein.com.

It’s the approach taken here by Botanic Tonics with its line of Kava Mate shots that promise to deliver sustained, grounded energy without the crashes and jitters. They’re available online now, with retail rollout planned for later this year. For more information, go to botanictonics.com.

Starbucks

We normally don’t highlight drinks from the Starbucks menu in our weekly new product gallery, but the cafe chain’s latest innovation – Strato™ Frappuccino, available in Brown Sugar, Strawberry Matcha and Salted Caramel Mocha – is notable for being the first new item to emerge from Starting 5, a new program in which five coffeehouses test and workshop new menu items before they roll out nationally. Three varieties – Classic Cold Brew, Americano, Vanilla Caramel and Single Origin Espresso – are now available in 12-cup packs on the brand’s website. But starting later this month, packs of Classic Cold Brew and Americano Iced Coffee will be sold in 8-packs for $14.99 at over 400 stores operated by Sprouts Farmers Market.
