Chicken Cock Whiskey Wins Double Gold Medal at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition

 
The award went to Chicken Cock’s Garden & Gun Single Barrel Selection 

BARDSTOWN, KY, (May 13, 2024)—Chicken Cock Whiskey, one of America's oldest whiskey brands, proudly announces that its Garden & Gun Single Barrel Selection has been awarded a Double Gold Medal, with a score of 95 at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).

Known as one of the most influential spirits competitions in the world, the SFWSC is the oldest and largest competition of its kind. This recognition stands as a true testament to the dedication and exceptional taste, quality, and craftsmanship of Chicken Cock Whiskey.

Created in partnership with Garden & Gun, Chicken Cock Whiskey’s Garden & Gun Single Barrel Selection was inspired by the South and its time-honored traditions. With sapid flavor notes of steeped berries, waffle cones, vanilla beans, and warm baking spices, the Garden & Gun Single Barrel Selection embodies the region’s welcoming hospitality and sporting lifestyle.

“It has the mash bill recipe for bourbon,” explains Chicken Cock Whiskey’s Brand Ambassador Will Woodington. However, due to the American white oak barrel shortage in 2014, the spirit was aged in bourbon barrels for seven years. “Then we finished it in new American white oak barrels to elevate the whiskey to our standards.”
