Seedlip founder to launch the first product from his new non-alcoholic venture studio in the US

Ben Branson, founder of Seedlip, has launched Pollen Projects, an independent venture studio dedicated to creating non-alcoholic drinks. The first project is seasn – a duo of 0.0% abv cocktail bitters in ‘LIGHT’ and ‘DARK’ variants, which following a successful launch in London, is launching in the US in June.

Developed over five years by Branson himself and using more than 30 plant extracts, seasn is “the salt and pepper for drinks”. Branson says “we season our food, why not our drinks? seasn’s intense, more’ish liquids add flavour, complexity and balance to a variety of drinks with just a few dashes.”

“Cocktail bitters have been around for hundreds of years and have largely stayed the bartender’s secret,” he said. “we want to disrupt the monopoly and modernise the category with fully inclusive plant based liquids and a single minded proposition. seasn your drinks!”

seasn LIGHT provides notes of fresh-cut grass, lime and grapefruit peel, clean bitterness from the Andrographis paniculata plant (also known as King of Bitters) and saltiness from kombu and sea salt. LIGHT can be added to a variety of drinks including soda water, tonic, Margaritas or a Tequila, lime & soda.

seasn DARK is spicy, with aromatic flavours of smoked cherrywood, star anise and cinnamon, with bitterness derived from king of bitters, black pepper, mushroom, orange and cocoa. Add seasn DARK to drinks such as Ginger ale, a manhattan or a Scotch & soda. 

LIGHT and DARK are both vegan, allergen-free and alcohol-free, and are available online from seasnyourdrinks.com

Pollen Projects was been created with the aim of building a second wave of brands and products that are premium, disruptive, relevant and meaningful to today and tomorrow’s drinker. It differs from an incubator or accelerator in that Ben and his team hands on and operational, helping to set up, launch and run the non-alcoholic drinks brands borne from it.

Following a successful launch in London and seasn being lauded by many of the capital’s Michelin starred chefs, top bartenders and food influencers, seasn launches in the US in June. The team are very much committed to working with their network of the best chefs, bartenders and tastemakers in key cities around the country over the next 12 months.

seasn will be available online from June 1st, priced at $39 for the pair or $21.50 for a single bottle.
