Suerte Tequila Launches Its NEW Single Barrel Program

Limited Edition Collector’s Item on Sale July 10th

Boulder, Colorado— Suerte Tequila is proud to announce the presale of their limited Single Barrel Reposado Tequila, live on July 10th on drinksuerte.com/shop. 

Suerte is calling this exclusive release ‘a tribute to its fans’ and their shared passion for the art of tequila. This is Suerte’s first dedicated Single Barrel program and features their award-winning Reposado, double-distilled then aged between 2 to 7 months in French and American Oak barrels. The result is a perfectly balanced higher-proof Reposado, at 44% ABV ($51.99 SRP) vs. the standard 40%. 

A collector’s item, the front label of every bottle of Suerte Single Barrel Reposado Tequila is customized with its barrel number, barrel name and signed by Master Distiller, Pedro Hernandez Barba. 

Suerte has reserved 3 of 100 barrels to put online for their fans to pre-order beginning on July 10th.  “Some love letters are better sipped than read," explains Leslie Maddocks, Suerte’s Director of Marketing, ‘so we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our fans who are true connoisseurs and our favorite muses’. And to take it one step further, on launch day Suerte is encouraging fans on social media to use AI to help write haikus inspired by their bottle of choice. ‘Let’s keep spreading the love through delicious tequila’ says Maddocks. 

The consumer barrels “Buena Suerte”, “Lucky Rabbit’s Foot” and “Tahona Crush” barrels all have distinct flavor profiles at a higher proof for true tequila lovers to compare and savor. Whether they buy one or all three, these are super limited and unique bottles to add to personal collections or gift to tequila lovers. 

Tahona Crush (Barrel 2)

  • Nose: Ripe Cherry
  • Tastes of black pepper, smoke, caramel and wood flavors 

Lucky Rabbit’s Foot (Barrel 6)

228 bottles total

  • Nose: Vanilla, Plum & Oak
  • Tastes of maple, chocolate, toasted almond and nutmeg

Buena Suerte (Barrel 8)

210 bottles total

  • Nose: Apricot & Clove
  • Tastes of sweet honey, spice and tobacco, leaving a creamy mouth feel

Suerte Single Barrel Reposado Tequila is the natural next step for a self-sufficient brand with the ability to innovate, says Laurence Spiewak, co-founder and President. “Because we control the process, developing new tequila expressions and taking advantage of market trends is faster and easier. Suerte Single Barrel Reposado is a continuation of our mission to create and celebrate yet another way to experience tequila.”

The Single Barrel Reposado will ship to 45 states (excluding LA, MA, MI, MS, OH)  and will also be found at retail locations in CO, TX, FL, GA, NJ, IL & IN.

It’s rare these days to find a tequila that is produced at a distillery where only one brand is being made. Suerte is among just 2% of registered tequila brands with a dedicated distillery. Suerte’s Tequilera Simbolo, located on 8.5 acres in the highlands of rural Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico, enables it to control its process from start to finish. High-quality standards and labor practices are guaranteed. Locally sourced ingredients include the town’s healing, revitalizing natural spring water (Atotonilco means “place of hot waters” in Aztec language). 

Suerte is also among the sole 1% of tequila brands labeled 100 percent tahona, which means every pîna from the oven is slowly and repetitively crushed under a two-ton stone for 24 hours to extract all of its sugars. As opposed to the shredders used by other tequila makers, a tahona stone yields a more distinctive, nuanced and authentic tequila flavor. Here’s to the Rabbits. Centuries ago, legend has it, a farmer’s wife saw lots of rabbits (400 it is said). They were bouncing happily through her fields lapping up the juices from the fermented agave plants.
