Expands Distribution Statewide in California, Readies RTD Cocktail Line and Forms Advisory Group
Mate Maker, the Aussie founded, SoCal based craft brewer, combining better for you beverages and laid back beachfront vibes, today announced the launch of its debut crowdfunding campaign. The campaign coincides with Mate Maker’s hard kombucha gaining statewide distribution in California, and the brand’s announcement that it will launch an RTD cocktail line next year.
Mate Maker brews deliciously refreshing hard kombucha, crafted using only real fruit, organic green tea and simple ingredients. Despite only arriving in the US late last Spring, Mate Maker has rapidly expanded to 700 accounts, and is forecasted to grow at 650% in 2024 selling 25,000+ cases of organic hard kombucha across existing partners, that include Whole Foods, Total Wine, Bevmo, Lazy Acres, Grocery Outlet, Bristol Farms, Mothers Market and more.
Make Maker is focused on expanding in California’s burgeoning ready to drink category, building a portfolio of ready to drink alcohol products that meet the growing demand for transparency, real ingredients and nothing artificial. Next year Mate Maker will debut sessionable, ready to drink spirit based cocktails, designed with approachable ABVs and sustainability in mind.
Continuing its expansion, Mate Maker also announced today that it has signed with Northern California distributors Delta Pacific and Mussetter completing its kombucha’s statewide availability.
As Mate Maker looks to continue its rapid growth trajectory, it wanted to offer like minded individuals, who value transparency and sustainability in what they consume, and value good times with friends, the opportunity to join their community and directly participate in driving the brand’s next phase of growth. Mate Maker’s Crowdfunding campaign kicked off November 6th and runs through the end of the year, and can be entered through Start Engine.
Mater Maker has also formed a leadership advisory group, bringing best in class expertise and knowledge to the brand’s leadership team. Joining the board is Ollipop CMO Matt Bruhn, former CEO of Pabst Brewing Company, Chris Chee, a managing partner of real estate investment firm Redcar Fund Management and Damian Canning, EVP Global Industry Relations, and a founding member of AccessFintech.
“Our goal is to be a leader in the ready-to-drink segment across the state of California,” said Mate Maker founder Justin Medcraft. “We’re ready to do our first capital raise since launching in the USA and want to invite people who share our values to join in our success as we build a community of advocates and mates along the way.”
“This capital raise will allow us to take the next step in our growth as we expand our distributor network state wide, open up new accounts via chain expansion, double down on marketing efforts to help drive category growth and launch new innovation products within the RTD category,” added Medcraft.
