The 19th Annual Kosher Food & Wine Experience (KFWE) is set for FEB 10 at NJ’s Meadowlands Hilton, where the much-anticipated event will highlight top notch wines and spirits from the best wine producing regions of the world.

The event will feature an exclusive preview of new wines and sprits for Passover 2025, the season when 40 percent of all kosher wines are sold. (This year the 8-day Passover holiday begins at sundown on April 13).

The premier festival is hosted by Royal Wine Corp. (Bayonne, NJ) world renowned as a leader in the kosher wine industry and the largest producer, importer and exporter of kosher wines and spirits. The company continues to be a leading key influencer in Passover wine trends.

Kosher Food & Wine Experience 2025 NY/J (KFWE) will feature nearly 1,000 kosher wines, and a plethora of spirits including whiskies, bourbons, vodkas, tequilas, rum, gin, and cordials for sampling and tasting.

Known as the destination for wine and food lovers alike, offering a sneak preview of the trendiest kosher cuisine and the latest innovations from the kitchens of today’s hottest chefs and caterers – plus an opportunity to be among the first to sample hundreds of new top-shelf wines and spirits from around the world, many with 90+ ratings.

This year KFWE will host industry buyers, caterers, retailers, restauranteurs, hospitality, chefs and distributors who cater to the kosher food and wine consumer.

The Kosher Food & Wine Experience began in 2006 as an intimate wine-tasting event for a handful of guests. It quickly exploded through popular demand and grows every year in terms of attendance, exhibitors, venues, and the sheer variety of products on offer. Today’s KFWE spans from New York and Miami to Los Angeles and London.

What is driving this year-on-year success? Gabe Geller, Royal Wine’s director of Public Relations, points to three recent food and wine trends: “the phenomenal growth of foodie culture, the unprecedented mainstreaming of kosher food into the American market, and the burgeoning production of premium kosher wines from around the world.”

Highlights of New Wines & Spirits Debuting at KFWE 2025

USA:

  • Herzog Generation VIII Cabernet Sauvignon Double Creek Vineyard Chalk Hill 2021
  • Herzog Special Reserve Chenin Blanc 2023

France:

  • Great new 2022 vintage burgundy wines from Domaine du Château Philippe Le Hardi, including the first kosher Grand Cru Clos Vougeot in nearly two decades.
  • Château Le Gay Pomerol 2022 – most prestigious Pomerol to produce a kosher run for the first time.
  • J. de Villebois – Kosher released a great Pouilly-Fumé Silex Blancs 2023.
  • Château Bellevue Morgon Grand Cras – highest quality Beaujolais first time kosher.
  • Clos Triguedina Probus – First time kosher flagship Malbec wine from the best winery in the Cahors region.

Italy:

  • The kosher Italian wine offerings are growing at a fast pace. Among the wineries showcasing their first kosher wine, the famous Rocca delle Macie with its signature Chianti Classico. Many other exciting wines from all of Italy’s prime regions will be available for tasting for the first time.

Spain:

  • Clos Mesorah and Elvi Wines release a very limited new wine from Garnatxa Nera (Grenache Noir)

  • Naveh by Chateau Golan
  • Darom Cabernet Sauvignon-  Vintage: 2023 | Dry Red Wine, Yatir Winery

Jay Buchsbaum, Royal Wine’s VP & Director of Wine Education notes, “The kosher wine industry has seen many trends in recent years, with incredible growth and industry accolades.”

Kosher Wine Trends

  • Increased variety: The range of kosher wines has expanded significantly, with more varieties, shades, and flavors to choose from. White, sparkling, and rosé wines are especially popular.
  • More kosher brands: There are now many more kosher brands to choose from than in the past.
  • Boutique wineries: A new trend is the emergence of kosher micro-wineries in Israel, often founded in people's garages. These small, family-owned wineries are all-kosher.
  • Organic and sustainable wines: Some kosher wineries are certified for organic grapes, sustainability, and carbon footprint.
  • Increased consumption: Many more kosher-keeping consumers drink wine now than in the past.
  • Higher quality: Kosher wines have evolved from cloyingly sweet to well-balanced and complex.

“Kosher wine is made with the same fermenting process as traditional wine, but only uses kosher-certified ingredients. The creation of kosher wine must be supervised and conducted by Sabbath-observant Jews,” adds Buchsbaum.
