CHICAGO, IL – February 3, 2025  – Introducing Geneba Tequila: a premium tequila brand thoughtfully crafted with women in mind, delivering a uniquely sophisticated sipping experience. Made from 100% blue agave sourced from the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, Geneba Tequila is all-natural, free of additives, sugar, and gluten. With its bold and empowering mission, Geneba Tequila is set to revolutionize the spirits industry by redefining tequila as an elegant, refined drink—perfectly smooth for sipping in a wine glass or enjoying on the rocks.

Conceived in 2012, Geneba Tequila’s founder, IngridLaVon found herself seeking a healthier, more natural drink option with less sugar. Yet after experiencing various tequilas, none delighted all her senses nor catered to her as a woman with a refined palate—a palate that no longer included shot glasses. IngridLaVon set out to create an elegant, ultra-premium tequila for women that is great-tasting and without additives or dyes. Reimagining a smooth, effortless experience, IngridLaVon crafted a tequila meant for savoring in a wine glass or on the rocks, and Voila! Geneba Tequila was born. 

Geneba Tequila is named in honor of the founder’s late mother, Geneva, who epitomized empowerment, resilience, and timeless elegance. "I chose the Spanish version of my mother’s name, Geneba, to honor the rich tradition and authenticity of tequila,” explains IngridLaVon. “Many people don’t realize that tequila, by law, must originate from Mexico to bear the name. Our tequila is crafted from blue agave in Jalisco, Mexico, and the name Geneba pays homage to this heritage.”

In dedication to her mother, IngridLaVon has subtly woven her mother’s image into the Geneba Tequila logo–which can be seen upon close observation. “Not only is her name on the label, but her spirit is in the beverage and her image on every bottle,” IngridLaVon reflects.

Refined and Sippable

Geneba Tequila is available in two distinct varieties—Blanco and Reposado:

  • Blanco: Double-distilled, the Blanco is bottled immediately and offers herbal notes of cooked agave, mint, green pepper, spearmint and lime– leaving a cool, refreshing finish. Perfect for sipping in a wine glass, it’s a delicate, smooth tequila for any occasion.
  • Reposado: Aged 9 months in medium-toasted American oak barrels, the Reposado boasts notes of vanilla, cinnamon, red apple, and chocolate. Whether neat or chilled, it is a treat to be savored by those who appreciate subtle sophistication.
