New York City – June 19, 2025 – AL’s, the NYC-based non-alcoholic beer brand known for its crisp, classic American lager style, has finalized an exclusive licensing agreement with Industrial Arts Brewing Company of Beacon, NY. Under the agreement, Industrial Arts will take over all brewing, operations, sales, and marketing for AL’s across the U.S., while AL’s founders continue to shape the brand’s creative vision.
You Can Call Me AL
“In 2018, after a career in the music and booze industries, I decided to stop drinking alcohol entirely — it just didn’t make me feel good,” said AL’s co-founder Alban de Pury. “But I couldn’t find a non-alcoholic beer that let me go out and sit at the bar with everybody. That’s why my partner Fanny Karst and I created AL’s — a classic American beer.” As The Washington Post put it: “When a dive bar fan quit drinking, he set out to craft a non-alcoholic beer worth celebrating.”
When AL’s launched in 2020, it was the only classic macro-style lager among a wave of craft NA brands. With just one SKU — a light, crisp, easy-drinking lager — AL’s quickly became a go-to for those who want the feel of a cold one without the buzz.
A NA Beer for the Ones Who Just Sit Down at the Bar
AL’s has built a strong word-of-mouth following over the past four years through menu placements at NY bars and venues such as Superiority Burger, Nightmoves, Tubby’s, Lot Radio, Nitehawk Cinemas, and King’s Theatre. It’s also expanded its off-premise footprint through Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s across the Northeast.
“We’ve built AL’s as a beloved staple in New York,” added de Pury. “Now, thanks to Industrial Arts — with their best-in-class brewing, sales, and distribution — we have the opportunity to grow. We finally have the scale to bring AL’s to more people without losing what makes it special.”
A Natural Fit
Industrial Arts Brewing Company was founded in 2015 by veteran brewer Jeff O’Neil. Operating out of Beacon, NY, IABC is known for producing technically excellent craft beers like Wrench IPA, Metric Pils and NA beers range Safety Glasses. With a new 50,000 sq ft facility and a reputation for innovation, Industrial Arts is now home to AL’s.
“We’ve long admired AL’s for its simplicity and laser focus,” says O’Neil “it’s a beer with a clear point of view and its own lane within the NA category. Our team is excited to help it grow while maintaining and nurturing everything that makes it unique.”
The first Industrial Arts–brewed batch of AL’s will hit shelves in early summer 2025.
