[NEW YORK, June 25, 2025] — OLUJO, a new standard in ultra-premium tequila, officially debuts today with a bold mission: to redefine modern luxury tequila. Aged and bottled in Tequila Valley, OLUJO represents a meticulous balance of tradition, terroir, and taste. Its first expression, OLUJO Añejo (SRP: $500), will be available in key markets including New York and Miami, with nationwide direct-to-consumer shipping via OLUJO.com.
In an era saturated with celebrity-backed labels and flashy branding, OLUJO takes a decidedly different approach, letting the product speak for itself. With a focus on craft over clout, OLUJO is designed for the refined drinker: those who appreciate complexity, depth, and a quiet confidence in what they choose to pour.
Cultivated with Intention. Aged for Quiet Power.
OLUJO is distilled exclusively from 100% Tequila Azul (Weber Blue Agave) grown in the mineral-rich soils of Los Altos, Jalisco. Every element, from the soil to the stills, is chosen with precision. The agave is slow-cooked in stainless steel autoclaves, fermented in stainless-steel tanks, and double-distilled in copper pot stills to preserve its nuanced character. Aged for 18 months in American oak barrels, OLUJO is crafted for a smooth, rich, and aromatic finish.
“OLUJO is born from a relentless pursuit of perfection, balanced by the discipline to do less, but better,” says Alex Garcia, OLUJO’s Master Blender. “Every detail reflects our devotion to craft. We don’t chase trends. We honor tradition, refine it, and reimagine what tequila can be.”
A Bottle That Speaks Without Words
More than a vessel, the OLUJO bottle is a sculptural artifact. Designed by renowned sculptor Ivan Venkov and crafted in ceramic by Anfora, a century-old ceramic house in Hidalgo, Mexico, the bottle is as thoughtful as the spirit inside. Choosing ceramic over glass wasn’t just an aesthetic decision, it was a nod to Mexico’s rich artisanal tradition, where vessels have long held not just spirits, but stories, and rituals.
“OLUJO isn’t branded to be seen – it’s designed to be felt,” says co-founder Oliver Camilo. “It’s high-craft tequila for a life of taste, created for moments that matter.”
A New Kind of Luxury
OLUJO was founded by entrepreneur Adam Weitsman, in collaboration with Larsa Pippen and Oliver Camilo, with a vision to transcend the traditional spirits category and create a cultural artifact. From its minimalist name, to its refined flavor profile, OLUJO is designed for discerning imbibers.
“Our mission is to create something that transcends the tequila category,” says Weitsman. “This isn’t just another tequila - it’s a statement of intent. It’s made for those who appreciate subtlety, seek depth, and connect with things that feel thoughtfully made.”
