The Carajillo Emerges as the Next Big Coffee Cocktail Trend, Anchored by Licor 43’s 80-Year Legacy

 

DALLAS, Texas (September 3, 2025) – This September, Licor 43 invites consumers and cocktail enthusiasts across the U.S. to celebrate National Carajillo Month, spotlighting the fusion of rich espresso and Spain’s iconic golden liqueur. The Carajillo 43, crafted with equal parts Licor 43 and espresso, is experiencing a surge in popularity as coffee cocktails captivate American palates. Licor 43 is carving out September as the month to honor this Spanish classic—poised to be the hottest coffee cocktail in the United States.


According to Datassential, the Carajillo has grown by 40% in menu offerings nationwide over the past year, with consumers increasingly seeking drinks that combine the boldness of coffee with innovative spirits. With over 80 years of heritage as the essential ingredient in the Carajillo, Licor 43 is leading the charge in bringing this authentic Spanish serve, popularized in Mexico, to the forefront of American cocktail culture.

Carajillo 43 Recipe:

Ingredients 

  • 1.5 oz (1 part) Licor 43 Original
  • 1.5 oz. (1 part) Espresso (or Dark Roast Cold Brew)
  • Grated Cinnamon (optional)

Method 

  • Combine equal parts Licor 43 and Espresso or Dark Roast Cold Brew
  • Shake and strain into a rocks glass
  • Optional: Garnish with grated cinnamon
