Nearly 250 Italian wineries and consortia (representing approximately $7 billion in turnover) will gather in Chicago on October 5–6, reaffirming their commitment to the U.S. - their top export market - while continuing to invest and grow, even amid tariffs and market uncertainties.

Chicago, September 2, 2025 – Italian wineries reaffirm their commitment to the U.S., their top export market, and continue to invest in growth and partnerships even in a dynamic trade environment. The second edition of Vinitaly.USA, taking place at Navy Pier, Chicago, on October 5–6, will bring together nearly 250 Italian wineries and consortia, representing a combined turnover of approximately $7 billion.

"We are seeing strong commitment from many of Italy’s leading wine companies," said Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere. "Italian producers recognize that the best way to respond to tariff challenges is with increased presence, engagement, and promotion in the U.S."

The event is organized by Veronafiere-Vinitaly, ITA – Italian Trade Agency, Fiere Italiane, and the Italian American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest–Chicago, combining Italian trade expertise with local market knowledge to create a strategic platform for growth.

Top Italian brands from across the country will be present, including Antinori, Famiglia Cotarella, Frescobaldi, Ferrari, Zonin, Bellavista, Berlucchi, Planeta, Allegrini, Angelini Wines & Estates, Pasqua, Masciarelli, Feudi di San Gregorio, Varvaglione, San Polo, Tasca d’Almerita, Rocca delle Macìe, and Tommasi. A strong contingent of Prosecco producers, such as Mionetto, Villa Sandi, and Spumanti Valdo, will also attend, along with major cooperatives including GIV, Nosio Gruppo Mezzacorona, and Cantine di Verona.

Leading consortia include Prosecco DOC, Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG, Asti DOCG, Valpolicella, Brunello di Montalcino, Custoza, Chiaretto and Bardolino, Lugana, and Garda, as well as Umbria Top and DOC Sicilia. Regions represented range from Veneto, Sardinia, Friuli, Lazio, and Emilia-Romagna, with more expected to join.

U.S. importers and buyers attending include Volio Fine Wine Imports, Vias, Terlato Wines, More Than Grapes, Winebow Fine Wines & Spirits, and Eagle Eye Wines.

"Despite the challenging market conditions, robust participation by Italian wine companies and trade groups reflects the strong interest of the U.S. market in Italian wine," said Adolfo Rebughini, CEO of Veronafiere. "Vinitaly.USA provides a stable, strategic platform to strengthen Italian companies’ presence in the United States. By connecting institutions, consortia, and wineries, we turn challenging market conditions into opportunities for growth and stronger business relationships."

The Vinitaly.USA program offers a full schedule of wine tastings, buyer-producer matchmaking, and market insights, along with the international debut of the Wine2Wine Business Forum, marking its first edition outside Italy. Twenty sessions will feature tastings, market analysis, and, on October 5 in Chicago, the announcement of the Vinitaly OperaWine 2026 selected producers, revealed in collaboration with Wine Spectator. The event will also highlight wine tourism through Vinitaly Tourism, professional development via the Vinitaly International Academy (VIA), and extra virgin olive oil tastings at the SOLExpo Oil Bar.
