Handcrafted Coffee Roastery and Eatery Looking to Enter the Sooner State for the First Time
SALINA, Kan. (January 12, 2026) - Mokas Coffee & Eatery, known for its breakfast and lunch offerings made to order, freshly baked pastries, and signature coffee brewed at the official Mokas Roastery, is looking to enter Oklahoma for the first time. The brand is actively seeking prospective franchise partners in the state to bring Mokas' signature, quality roast coffee and versatile dining experience to their communities.
With twenty years of success in Kansas, Mokas Coffee & Eatery is now targeting metropolitan hubs throughout the nearby state. The Greater Oklahoma City area and Tulsa both offer multiple development options for Mokas to establish a strong presence. Equally compelling are outlying cities such as Bartlesville, Lawton, Ardmore, Muskogee, and Stillwater, with the brand remaining open to development in different neighborhoods throughout the state.
Given Oklahoma's geographical proximity to Kansas, the move allows Mokas to build on their regional brand familiarity and strong community connections in a state with steady population growth.
"With Oklahoma being so close to our home state, it seemed like a natural next step when we realized that the time was right to start franchising," said Jason Ingermanson, CEO of JRI Hospitality and President of Mokas Coffee & Eatery. "We want our neighbors in Tulsa and OKC to have a place where they can get both great drinks and great food. That combination has resonated with guests for two decades in Kansas, and we see the same opportunity to become a go-to everyday spot for communities across Oklahoma."
As the coffee market continues to grow rapidly, with the market expected to reach $430 billion by 2030, Mokas Coffee & Eatery is seeing increased demand for their freshly made food and beverage options. Prospective franchisees will benefit from a proven business model with streamlined operations, a technology stack designed to enhance efficiency and customer engagement, and a positive, loyalty-driven culture.
Established in 2005, Mokas Coffee & Eatery offers a variety of everyday favorites including in-house roasted coffee, smoothies, energy drinks, pastries, breakfast and lunch wraps, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Each item on their menu is fresh and always prepared in-house. Mokas is part of the JRI Hospitality group, which has been instrumental in the brand's evolution.
