KEMPS® INTRODUCES KEMPS PROTEIN+ MILK WITH MORE PROTEIN AND LESS SUGAR

New lactose-free milk delivers 13 grams of protein and 50% less sugar per serving

Kansas City, Kan. (May 5, 2026) – Kemps, a farmer-owned brand from Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), is introducing Kemps Protein+ Milk, a new lactose-free, ultra-filtered milk designed to meet growing consumer demand for high-protein, lower-sugar dairy options within the value-added milk category.

Made with real dairy milk sourced from DFA family farms, Kemps Protein+ delivers 13 grams of protein per serving — 50% more than regular milk — along with 50% less sugar. The milk is ultra-filtered to concentrate protein while reducing sugar, resulting in a rich, creamy taste.

“Kemps Protein+ reflects how consumers are increasingly looking for dairy products that deliver additional nutritional benefits without compromising taste,” said Rachel Kyllo, Chief Marketing Officer, Dairy Brands at DFA. “As protein-focused choices continue to grow — driven by wellness, fitness and healthy-aging trends — Kemps Protein+ makes it easy to add more protein and reduce sugar in everyday moments, from breakfast and coffee to post-workout refueling. And because it’s made with real dairy milk, it delivers the rich, creamy taste and high-quality people expect from Kemps.”

Kemps Protein+ is lactose-free and provides naturally occurring calcium. Available in shelf-stable packaging for added convenience, it offers up to 120 days of shelf life. The line is available in three 48-ounce varieties:

  • Whole White Milk
  • 2% Reduced Fat White Milk
  • 2% Reduced Fat Chocolate Milk
