Cove Soda Expands North American Retail Footprint with National Launch at Walmart Canada

Zero-Sugar Functional Soda Brand Scales Across Canada with National In-Store Rollout, Building on Innovative Mini Can Launch at Target Earlier This Year

NOVA SCOTIA, CANADA, June 2026 – Cove Soda, the zero-sugar functional soda brand, today announced its national launch at Walmart Canada, marking its largest retail expansion to date and a significant step in its North American distribution strategy.

Now available in stores nationwide across Canada, the Walmart assortment features single-flavor 4-packs of Cove’s top-performing SKUs: Ice Pop, Raspberry, Cream Soda, and Blue Razz. Select locations will also carry Lemon Lime and Orange, broadening consumer access to the brand’s zero-sugar, flavor-forward lineup.

The Walmart Canada launch builds directly on the momentum Cove established earlier this year with the introduction of its Mini Cans at Target in the United States. That launch represented a meaningful format innovation for the brand: 7.5 oz six-packs in Ice Pop and Rainbow Sherbet, designed to drive trial, expand consumption occasions, and offer retailers a high-velocity, portion-controlled option in a segment that has seen consistent growth.

The Walmart Canada expansion reflects broader movement in the soda category, where consumer demand for better-for-you alternatives has accelerated without a corresponding shift away from full-flavor expectations. Cove has positioned itself at that intersection: zero sugar, no artificial compromise, and flavor profiles designed for recognition and repeat. Unlike many brands in the functional soda space that rely on reduced-sugar formulations, Cove operates on a true zero-sugar platform across its full lineup.

“Canada is our home market, and earning a national presence at Walmart is a meaningful validation of where the brand stands,” said Bryan Crowley, Chief Executive Officer of Cove Soda. “The Mini Can launch at Target earlier this year showed us that when we lead with innovation and give consumers a new way to experience Cove, consumers respond. This expansion is about taking that energy and building on it at scale.”

With national distribution now established at Walmart Canada and a growing presence across Target and additional North American retail partners, Cove enters the second half of 2026 with expanded shelf presence across mass, grocery, and natural channels. The brand’s leadership team, expanded earlier this year under CEO Bryan Crowley, is focused on continuing to drive velocity and distribution depth across both markets.
