B.R. Distilling Co. Significantly Increases Allocation for its Third Annual Honey Bourbon & Rye Cask Whiskey
PRESS RELEASE posted by B.R. Distilling Co.
Memphis, TN (September 21, 2026) – Blue Note Bourbon™, the award-winning whiskey portfolio which is artfully crafted to honor the rich blues music that is synonymous with Memphis, has significantly increased the allocation for its wildly popular Honey Bourbon and Honey Rye Cask Whiskey, which sold out quickly the past two years.
These two expressions are where bold bourbon and rye along with natural sweetness find perfect harmony. Blue Note finishes its award-winning whiskey in American Oak barrels that have been seasoned with wildflower barrel-aged honey for between six and nine months, creating a unique fusion of flavor and craftsmanship. Once infused with rich honey character, the casks welcome the bourbon and rye back for an encore. The result is two distinctive whiskeys layered with notes of golden honey, spice, toasted oak, and caramel sweetness. Blue Note’s signature depth and character shine through, delivering a balanced pour that is both bold and smooth.
“Our third annual Honey Bourbon and Honey Rye Cask Whiskeys, which are crafted in Memphis, are a testament to the creativity and craftsmanship that goes into every bottle we produce,” said Chris Crosbie, Chief Executive Officer, B.R. Distilling Co. “Every sip strikes the perfect note between spice and sweetness—finished with soul.”
The Honey Bourbon features a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% wheat and 9% malted barley, and was finished at 117.8 proof (58.9% ABV), unfiltered, while the Honey Rye Whiskey highlights a mash bill of 95% rye, and 5% malted barley, and was finished at 119.6 proof (59.8% ABV), unfiltered.
Approximately 2,500 cases of both Blue Note Honey Bourbon and Honey Rye Cask Whiskey are available online via BlueNoteBourbon.com and in select U.S. markets for the suggested retail price of $64.99 each. The team will also offer its first-ever single barrels for both expressions, which are extremely limited and unique and available in market with select retailers.
Blue Note’s whiskey portfolio is distilled in partnership with Lofted Spirits (parent company of Green River Distilling Company) and then aged just north of downtown Memphis where the Mississippi and Wolf Rivers collide. The long summers filled with infamous Memphis heat and cooler evenings force the whiskey deep into the oak, creating an unmistakably rich flavor that’s bold, yet smooth.
Over the years, Blue Note has introduced several highly awarded limited-release offerings, which include Premium Small Batch, Single Barrel Reserve, 17-year, Special Reserve, Single Barrel Rye and most recently a Cherry Cask Bourbon. These expressions are in addition to the award-winning flagship Blue Note portfolio which includes Juke Joint ($34.99), Crossroads ($44.99), Uncut ($49.99), and Straight Rye Whiskey ($34.99).
