Pioneer of the chlorophyll category and America’s first bottled water to earn Clean Label Project certification brings plant-powered hydration to more neighborhood grocery shoppers.
NEW YORK, N.Y. — Chlorophyll Water, a pioneer in the chlorophyll category, announces its availability at select Winn-Dixie locations, expanding its Southeast retail presence and making its signature plant-powered water more accessible to shoppers.
The launch builds on Chlorophyll Water’s continued national expansion. Founded in 1925, Winn-Dixie has served generations of grocery shoppers and today operates across Florida and southern Georgia. Adding Chlorophyll Water to select stores gives customers another way to discover the brand during their everyday grocery trips.
The expansion comes as Chlorophyll Water reports 503% year-over-year growth in direct-to-consumer net sales, according to company Shopify data for the 12 months ended September 2026, compared with the prior 12-month period. State-level growth included 228% in Florida and 509% in Georgia. The company views this growth as a strong signal of consumer demand in Winn-Dixie’s markets and an opportunity to make Chlorophyll Water more accessible through local retail.
Growing consumer interest is also reflected in Google Search activity. According to Spate Market Research findings announced in March 2026, Chlorophyll Water recorded 62.9% year-over-year growth in Google Search. Spate’s 2025 research also identified chlorophyll as a Top 10 ingredient by increase in Google Search and among the Top 10 for significant growth in its U.S. Popularity Index—the only ingredient to appear in both rankings. These findings point to growing consumer awareness and active interest in discovering chlorophyll products.
Spate’s research further highlights chlorophyll’s accelerating popularity, with consumer interest growing approximately 100% year over year, compared with approximately 19% for the broader supplement category—more than five times the growth rate. Chlorophyll Water sees this momentum as an opportunity for retailers to turn growing consumer curiosity into product discovery, in-store trial and repeat purchases.
Together with its direct-to-consumer sales growth, the company sees this search momentum as an opportunity to translate online discovery into in-store trial and repeat purchases. Expanding into select Winn-Dixie locations gives shoppers who discover Chlorophyll Water online a convenient place to purchase it locally, helping connect growing consumer interest with the grocery shelf.
“We’re excited to bring Chlorophyll Water to select Winn-Dixie locations and introduce the brand to more shoppers in the Southeast,” said Matt Levine, Founder of Chlorophyll Water. “Our goal has always been to make chlorophyll part of an easy, everyday hydration routine. Being available where people already shop for their families is an important part of that mission.”
Chlorophyll Water combines ultra-purified water with chlorophyll sourced from alfalfa and added plant-based vitamins A, B12, C and D. The Non-GMO bottled water beverage features light lemon and spearmint flavors, offering a refreshing, ready-to-drink way to incorporate chlorophyll into a daily routine.
As the first bottled water in the United States to pass the strict requirements of Clean Label Project certification, Chlorophyll Water places independent third-party testing and ingredient transparency at the center of its brand. The certification involves screening for more than 90 contaminants, including heavy metals, pesticide residues and plasticizers. Chlorophyll Water most recently earned certification for the fourth consecutive year and makes laboratory results available on its website.
Sustainability is also central to the company’s mission. Chlorophyll Water uses bottles made from 100% recycled plastic with CleanFlake™ label technology. Through its partnership with rePurpose Global, each bottle sold supports the recovery of an equivalent ocean-bound plastic bottle. The company has also introduced 16 oz aluminum cans, expanding its packaging options alongside its existing bottle lineup.
Chlorophyll Water’s momentum has earned national media and industry recognition. The brand was featured on the cover of Beverage Industry magazine as “Nature’s Green Magic” and named “2026 Top Trending Brand of the Year” by Spate Market Research, an AI-powered consumer forecasting platform. It also ranked No. 9 among more than 90,000 brands on RangeMe’s “Top 50 Food & Beverage” list, highlighting its visibility on the retailer product-discovery platform.
Additional recognition includes being named an “Emerging Brand of the Year” finalist by the California Grocers Association, a “Beverage with Benefits” finalist in Startup CPG’s Shelfie Awards, and one of the “Ones to Watch” Finalist at The Beverage Forum.
“Every new shelf is an opportunity to introduce someone to Chlorophyll Water,” added Levine. “We’re proud to build our presence with Winn-Dixie and look forward to becoming part of more customers’ weekly shopping routines.”
Chlorophyll Water is now available at select Winn-Dixie locations. Shoppers should check with their local store for availability.
