The Duckhorn Portfolio Named #21 on Fortune 2026 Best Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production™ in the Small and Medium Category
Anonymous Employee Feedback Recognizes The Duckhorn Portfolio for Workplace Culture, Safety and Trust
ST. HELENA, Calif. – October 6, 2026 – The Duckhorn Portfolio (“Duckhorn” or the “Company”) has been officially named to the 2026 Fortune Best Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production™ list, ranking at number 21 in the Small and Medium category. This prestigious recognition is based entirely on anonymous survey feedback from current employees evaluating workplace culture, leadership trust, fairness and overall job satisfaction.
To produce the Fortune Best Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production list, Fortune partnered with the people analytics firm Great Place To Work®. Great Place To Work has been surveying employees around the world about their workplace experiences for 30 years. Great Place To Work has developed a set of themes and metrics that not only reveal whether employees feel their workplace is great, but also predict retention, agility, and overall business success.
Using their proprietary Trust Index™ survey, Great Place To Work measures the core of what they know creates great workplaces — key behaviors that drive trust in management, connection with colleagues, and loyalty to the company.
In the last year, Great Place To Work surveyed companies employing 7.3 million people in the U.S. and received 1.3 million survey responses. Of those, over 106,000 responses were received from employees at companies that were eligible for the 2026 Fortune Best Workplaces in Manufacturing & Production list.
“This recognition belongs to our employees. The workplace we have built together and the care, craftsmanship, teamwork and ownership our people demonstrate every day made this possible,” said CEO Robert Hanson. “Our production and winemaking teams put that care into every bottle, from the vineyard to the cellar to the bottling line. Their craftsmanship is how we deliver on our mission to elevate life’s meaningful moments—from the celebratory to the everyday—with exceptional wines that bring people together.”
Chief People Officer Nicole Cummings added, “This list is built on what our employees told Great Place To Work in their own words, which is what makes it so meaningful. Thank you for showing up, for sharing your honest feedback and for being the reason Duckhorn is such a great place to work!”
