Made in Italy, Frizz Coffee is a sparkling and sweetened coffee drink. The ingredient list is simple and straightforward (carbonated water, coffee, sugar, caramel coloring), which ultimately lends itself to the drink having very straightforward flavor. The base of the product tastes like a relatively bold brew of coffee, while the added carbonation gives it some crispness. The sugar makes the product indulgent, but it isn’t too overwhelming. We like the small 6.1 oz. glass bottle that they’ve chosen, which has a sophisticated and premium vibe. While this is certainly a niche product (it has no dairy and it’s sparkling -- two things that Americans don’t seem to like when it comes to coffee), it has definitely hit the nail on the head for what it is trying to be. And that’s pretty much how we’d sum this product up: it knows what it is and it does it well. That’s not going to make this product a massive success, but it can definitely fill a spot in the premium carbonated soft drink shelf.
