The base for the gin is a very fine grained neutral spirit sourced from Sweden. The botanicals are steeped into the spirit during the distillation process. The alcohol vapors pass through a tray of botanicals above the pot where the flavor is extracted before condensing. The seven traditional, locally grown and harvested botanicals include coriander, angelica, chervil, heather, bog myrtle, juniper, and rowanberry. The base passes through a charcoal filter and then pure water sourced from a well located 300 feet below the distillery is used to cut the resulting distillate. This very precise manufacturing process results in a unique, flavorful gin that has a classic London dry gin character and is perfect in cocktails or enjoyed neat.
According to A. Hardy USA, Ltd. president Mark Levinson, “Gin is enjoying a resurgence in popularity. Younger consumers have discovered gin. Classic gin-based cocktails such as the martini, gimlet and gin & tonic are proving to be popular again across all age groups. We anticipate a growing demand for high-end gins and fully expect Dingle to be a leader in the U.S. market.”
