Shinner, who took her brand of plant-based dairy brand from a web store into a significant brick-and-mortar footprint, will share the best practices she learned from her experience developing Miyoko’s Creamery both online and from its transition into physical stores. Her case study explains the ways that the role of the D2C channel changes as a brand matures, and she offers tips on how to manage an online store as part of an omnichannel environment.

Miyoko Schinner is founder and CEO of Miyoko’s Creamery, the leading organic plant dairy creamery that’s reinventing the dairy industry. An epicurean activist and leading voice in the future of food, Schinner is known as “the Tesla of the natural foods industry”. Guided by her principles of compassion and justice for all living beings, Schinner pioneered the plant-based dairy revolution by leveraging her vast experience as a chef, former restaurateur, best-selling cookbook author, and a founding board member of the Plant Based Foods Association. An animal rights advocate, Schinner co-founded Rancho Compasión, a nonprofit animal sanctuary in California that provides home to over 70 rescued farm animals.
