Review: Super Fruit Punch

Super Fruit Punch is a 30 percent juice drink that is the flagship flavor of the new Honest Splash lineup of organic juice drinks. Like the rest of the lineup, it’s a kids oriented product that’s packaged in a 12 ounce plastic bottle and has 70 calories per bottle. The product is sweetened and flavored with juice (with the addition of natural flavorings), which does a nice job of imparting flavor without leaving a sugary coating in your mouth. This particular flavor has white grape, strawberry, and watermelon juices -- certainly a fine base for a fruit punch drink. That said, the product certainly tastes like your typical fruit punch drink, but perhaps in more watered down form. Visually, it’s not totally obvious that this is a kids drink, which definitely could be by design in the sense that the market for smaller portion sizes is definitely growing. It’s not a package design that really pops out at you, but the Honest name certainly brings it some credibility and familiarity. Overall, we think that this is a nice way to straddle the kids and mid-calorie categories.
