Bacchus

Manufacturer's Brand Overview [Edit]

It's no wonder that Bacchus is named after the Roman god of partying! Bacchus was first created over 35 years ago as a revolutionary new health supplement by Dong-A, an award winning pharmaceutical company. Since then, it's been improved and refined and is noe bursting into the action-packed youth scene as one of the most popular energy drinks in the world. In a way, Bacchus is like a pure shot of adrenaline to your metabolic system. It drives your personal energy to it's absolute peak!

Product Type:Functional: Energy Drink: Regular; Container: 8.3 oz can (250 ml)
BevNET Review: Produced in Korea since 1963, Bacchus Energy Drink is of the oldest import brands to make its way to the US. Since our first tasting of Bacchus a few years back, this product has improved significantly. The main point of improvement is in the packaging, which now has a much more polished and attractive look to it. With its striking blue, silver and gold can, it will definitely catch your eye from the large sea of competitors. As far as the taste goes, Bacchus definitely delivers. The citrus-style flavor is moderately sweet and has a slight bite to it. Minimal aftertaste makes this a product that definitely has a leg up on the Red Bull-style formulations that so many companies are using today. Overall, we really like the latest rendition of Bacchus and, with the proper marketing and distribution efforts, we believe that this product could finally make some headway in the North American market.Reviewed on: 5/18/2005
