BevNET Review: Diet Pepsi Vanilla might be decent as far as diet beverages made by Pepsi go, but it still has a an awful artificial sweetener taste to it -- and the vanilla flavor only helps accentuate it. Still, this product is better than the Coke counterpart (which doesn't say much for Coke...). As a result of this bad flavor and aftertaste, we'd recommend passing on this product and sticking with one of the diet products using Splenda.Reviewed on: 8/20/2003

Pepsi Vanilla

Product Type:Carbonated Soft Drink: Regular; Container: 12 oz can; various plastic
BevNET Review: Coke has Vanilla Coke....so now there's Pepsi Vanilla. Fortunately, Pepsi did something right with this product as it does not taste nearly as bad as Vanilla Coke. Instead, this product has a stronger, more natural tasting vanilla flavor that gives it much more of a soda-shop feeling. Sure, there are better sodas out there, but as far as Pepsi Cola products go this one is among our favorites. What would we love to see?...How about a retro-styled Pepsi Vanilla in a glass bottle? We know that won't happen, but they could really do a lot better on the packaging as the high-tech blue gives this product a chemistry lab feeling. Overall, one of the better Pepsi products to hit the market.Reviewed on: 8/20/2003
