Black Cherry

Product Type:Water: Sparkling; Container: 11 oz Glass
BevNET Review: Something Natural’s Black Cherry is a sparkling flavored water that is sweetened with stevia and cane sugar. From a flavor perspective, the splash of tart black cherry goes nicely with the crisp base of sparkling water. To that end, the product is very straightforward, with a mellow amount of sweetness to finish things off. The sugar and stevia work pretty well together, making for a good amount of sweetness and only a moderate amount of stevia flavor to the finish. Packaging is this product’s strongest area, with an 11 oz. cobalt blue bottle that is cleanly designed and feels upscale. For us, this feels very much like a female oriented product, but it accomplishes this in a subtle rather than direct way through the design of the bottle and label. That said, we think that this product should do quite well in the space that it occupies -- it’s sophisticated, flavorful, and very nice looking.Reviewed on: 11/30/2011

Blueberry Lemon

Product Type:Water: Sparkling; Container: 11 oz Glass
BevNET Review: Blueberry and lemon flavored sparkling water might not be as obvious a pairing as some of the other combinations, but it’s actually quite good. The blueberry and lemon flavors are easily distinguishable from the mix, while added sugar and stevia give the product a light amount of sweetness (and keep the product to only 30 calories per bottle). The carbonation level is pretty high, which adds some bite to it and helps balance things out. Visually, the product has a strong presence, but manages to do it in a a clean and simple way. The graphics, which include a flock of white birds, helps visually communicate that this is a lighter, airy product. Otherwise, the straightforward branding and attractive glass bottle are very pleasing to the eyes. Overall, a very well executed product. Reviewed on: 11/30/2011

Pink Grapefruit

Product Type:Water: Sparkling; Container: 11 oz Glass
BevNET Review: Of the Something Natural flavors that we sampled, the Pink Grapefruit variety did the best job of masking the stevia that is used -- along with sugar -- to sweeten the drink. Beyond that, the sharp citrus flavor is refreshing and enjoyable, with an accurate grapefruit flavor that goes well with the bit of the carbonated water. For having only 30 calories per 11 oz. bottle, this product has a lot of flavor and sweetness -- definitely a nice job on the formulation end of things. On the outside, the blue glass bottle is eye catching, especially with its simple looking brand. While this is a low calorie product, it’s not part of what the brand pitches on the label, which is an interesting approach to take. Otherwise, the product looks very much like a premium product -- and a good one at that. Overall, this is a very enjoyable product.Reviewed on: 11/30/2011
