In April 2007 VitaZest launched the first of what will be a full line of Vitamin Enriched Green Teas. VitaZest Green Tea is a cold RTD green tea beverage packaged in a 20 oz. PET plastic bottle. VitaZest is excited to enter this expanding market and is proud to offer consumers not only the benefits of Green Tea, but also the health benefits of the essential vitamins and minerals infused into this beverage. In essence this line is to be developed into a popular flavored selection of Enhanced Green Teas.

BevNET Review: VitaZest's Vitamin Enriched Green Tea is definitely one of the more enjoyable products in this brand. The lightly flavored product has a mild taste of green tea, a splash of citrus, and is sweetened with a blend of sucralose and acesulfame potassium (our preferred blend). They've also added a variety of vitamins, which will certainly help increase appeal with the target demographic. Packaging uses the same stock bottle used by the other VitaZest flavor, but with a slightly more attractive label. The green colors and the tag "vitamin enriched green tea" will make this product's taste and purpose obvious to the consumer. Our only suggestion is to lose the tea bag image from the label as this might imply a brew tea flavor that simply isn't there. Otherwise, a well executed product from VitaZest.Reviewed on: 6/7/2007

Mango Cherry

BevNET Review: VitaZest did a fantastic job on Mango Cherry. For what should have been the the toughest flavor combo to simulate, VitaZest managed to create a beverage that truly does taste like mangos and cherries. The use of actual fruit purees and juices is the reason that this product tastes so great. Mango Cherry was also formulated with health benefits in mind, which is mentioned on the label: "VitaFact...Mangos are believed to help maintain a healthy PH balance. Peach Melon

BevNET Review: VitaZest Peach Melon is a decent tasting product, but we had some difficulty getting past the aftertaste that is present. The peach flavor is light and somewhat difficult to notice aside from the slightly fuzzy note that exists in the finish. Beyond that, the melon flavor is more prominent and this flavor's inability to cover the Splenda is likely the cause for the aftertaste. In addition, this product could use some enhancements in the packaging department. Overall, we'd stick with one of the other flavors.Reviewed on: 1/24/2005

BevNET Review: Orange Vita Zest was a slight disappointment to us. Despite containing orange juice from concentrate, the drink has very little fruit or any other flavor to it. BevNET Review: Kiwi Strawberry flavored VitaZest is one of the most mainstream-tasting products of the lineup. Featuring strawberry and kiwi flavors that come from real juice, this beverage tastes extremely natural compared to other entries into the low-carb category. The product has a very light level of sweetness and uses Splenda as its sweetener of choice. Like the other flavors, this product comes in a stock 20 fl oz PET bottle, which is the product's biggest area for improvement. BevNET Review: Of all the flavors in this brand, we feel that Passion Fruit VitaZest has the strongest Splenda aftertaste. Perhaps this is the result of the passion fruit juice, which doesn't have as strong of a flavor as some of the other fruits used in this lineup, especially when it does not have sugar. BevNET Review: Pomegranate flavored VitaZest is a very well done beverage. Featuring an extremely refreshing pomegranate flavored body and a zero-carb & zero-calorie formulation, this product seemingly has it all. By using real pomegranate juice, VitaZest does something that other beverage companies might shy away from due to cost, but the results are definitely noticeable. The brand of the product is appealing and the name has healthy connotations, but the label/bottle that the product use are a bit generic feeling. BevNET Review: Lemon Lime Vita Zest takes advantage of its lemon juice concentrate to create a very natural-tasting citrus flavor. The product's label states, "VitaFact...Lemons and Lime are believed to purify the body." The beverage has a full complement of vitamins from A through E. The flavor, however, is really what sets this product apart. As far as low-carb products go, few products can compete. The only obvious place for improvement is in the packaging, which doesn't really stand out and borders on generic. BevNET Review: Blueberry VitaZest is a refreshing fruit flavored beverage that has no calories or carbs. By using real fruit juice, this product has a very natural blueberry taste to it -- just like real blueberries, but without the sweetness. While this product is labeled as a fruit enriched water, it feels much more like a fruit juice cocktail.
