Distribution: Swoon Lands in Publix Across the Southeast; Bang Energy Hops the Pond

Swoon Splashes Into Publix Stores Across the Southeast

New York-based zero sugar iced tea and lemonade maker Swoon has landed its full beverage lineup in Publix stores across the Southeast, the brand announced last week.

Available in six varieties – Classic Lemonade, Pink Lemonade, Ginger Lemonade, Half Tea & Half Lemonade, Peach Tea and Sweet Tea – each 12 oz. drink is sweetened with monk fruit and contains zero grams of sugar.

“Publix is an industry leader and represents a major milestone for Swoon! I’m committed to making tasty and healthy drinks so that no one has to drink sugar,” said co-founder Jen Ross in a press release. “Now, we are bringing our mission to thousands more customers, since Publix is the go-to retailer in the Southeast.”

Launched in 2020, Swoon was co-created by Ross, who has Type 1 diabetes, to offer better-for-you versions of classic beverages. Earlier this year, the brand landed its Ginger, Lemonade, Pink Lemonade and Half + Half in new 4-packs at 260 Target locations nationwide.

The new distribution partnership with Publix will add over 1200 doors to Swoon’s retail footprint. Each 12 oz. can will retail for $2.29.

Swoon’s zero sugar lemonades and iced teas are also available at select Target, Whole Foods and Fresh Market stores across the country, as well as online at Amazon.com in cases of 12 for $29.99.

Bang Energy Hops the Pond to Bring Its Drinks to Ireland and the UK

Bang Energy announced this week that CEO Jack Owoc has partnered with Global Brands, Ltd. to distribute the brand’s energy drinks in the U.K. and Ireland.

“Our partnership with Global Brands is further proof of our positive trajectory and path to exponential growth internationally,” said Owoc in a press release. “We are confident that our expanded international distribution, relentless innovation, combined with worldwide “Bangster” fan loyalty and enthusiasm will catapult Bang and its allied brands like Meltdown and Vooz into the stratosphere.”

The distribution announcement comes amid Bang’s ongoing presence in the headlines for its falsely advertised “super creatine” ingredient, its Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing and its termination agreement with former distribution partner PepsiCo.

According to the company, the new agreement adds a “critical dynamic” to its increased presence across five continents, including North America, South America, Europe, Africa and Australia.

“We are really excited to be the exclusive distributor for Bang Energy here in the U.K. and Ireland,” said Julian Atkins, Global Brands Commercial Director. “Bang Energy brings something quite different to an energy category that is currently enjoying strong growth – a brand that is full of flavor despite having zero sugar, zero carbs, and zero calories across an awesome range of flavors.”
