Carpe Diem: Kefir

While we wouldn’t recommend opening up this dark purple beverage while you’re wearing your summer whites, we were pretty pleasantly surprised by the lack of sweetness in this lightly carbonated elderberry/kefir mix. While there’s a pretty pungent smell coming off this stuff, the flavor is in balance and it makes for a refreshing, almost Campari-like blend. We like the packaging with its elegant, willowy bottle, although the deep color of this drink might discourage consumers from making a curiosity buy. However, consumers looking for a good, herbal CSD replacement will definitely not be disappointed by the bottle and technical quality of this product.
