Dry’s Ginger Soda is one of the two new flavors that the company introduced when it added cans to its packaging line-up. With a naturally “dry” and crisp flavor, Ginger Soda is a flavor that seems like the perfect fit for Dry brand. And it definitely lived up to our expectations, with an extremely flavorful, but light, body that is very refreshing and pleasing the palate. While we’ve had plenty of great-tasting ginger ales in our day, the fact that this product contains only 65 calories (it’s sweetened exclusively with sugar) is very impressive. From a marketability perspective, having a ginger ale product makes total sense for the brand. It allows the product line to get pretty close to a “classic” CSD flavor without getting too close to the point where it undermines the premium and sophisticated vibe of the Dry brand. As far as the can versus glass situation, we really like how Dry used the 12 oz. slim can. It’s a nice adaptation of its flagship brand, offering consumers the exactly same value, but in a more convenient format. Overall, this is a great addition to the lineup.
