Honest Tea (Glass): Zero Calorie Passion Fruit Green Tea

Honest Tea’s Zero Calorie Passion Fruit Green Tea is a stevia-sweetened USDA Organic blend of green tea, hibiscus, passion fruit juice and other ingredients. From a flavor perspective, the drink delivers rather complex flavor, which is clearly needed to help mask the stevia. Each one of the ingredients can be distinguished from the blend, with the hibiscus doing a nice job of masking the stevia. There is a stevia finish to the drink, but it’s much lighter than what we’ve seen in most other stevia sweetened drinks. Packaging is a 16 oz. glass bottle, which looks very much like Honest’s other products. While the text says “HONEST ZERO,” we think it would be pretty easy to miss that this is a zero calorie sweetened product without some other visual indicator. Hopefully they’ll address this in the future. Overall, a solid entry from Honest Tea, which has done a nice job of proving that stevia can be used in drinks that actually taste good.
