With Humm Acquisition, SYSTM Homes in on Gut Health

Yesterday, California-based CPG company SYSTM Foods announced it had acquired Humm Kombucha for an undisclosed sum. The deal now places the nearly 15-year-old brand under the command of SYSTM’s executive team, which also operates two other functional beverage acquisitions – REBBL and Chameleon Organic Coffee.

SYSTM Foods Acquires Humm Kombucha

SYSTM Foods, a joint venture between SYSTM Brands and CPG investment firm GroundForce Capital, have acquired Humm Kombucha, the companies announced today. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Humm Kombucha Receives $8M Line of Credit

Seeking to expand operations and fund new marketing initiatives, Humm Kombucha announced today that it has opened an $8 million line of credit with Naturally Gerber Finance. In a press release, the Oregon-based kombucha brand said it intends to use the credit to hire new staff, purchase machinery and “fund large-scale retail programs and marketing initiatives.”

Humm Announces Launch of Zero Sugar Kombucha Line

Humm Zero, the new sugar-free line from the Oregon-based kombucha brand, is set to launch in select markets and on Amazon in April. The product will be sold in 11 oz. single-serve cans ($2.99 SRP) and 4-packs ($9.99) in four flavors: Peach Tea, Blood Orange, Ginger Lemonade and Raspberry Lemonade.

Humm Kombucha Launches Kombucha Cans Nationwide

Humm Kombucha, already the nation’s no. 1 seller of kombucha in cans, unveiled national expansion and availability of five of its most popular flavors in cans at the Natural Products Expo East 2019, September 12 -14th, 2019 in Baltimore, MD, booth #8609. Humm Kombucha cans are available nationwide.
