Review: Satisfy Me

This flavor of Joni Juice is a nut milk-based beverage that has been high pressure processed rather than pasteurized. Its ingredients include almond milk, raw sprouted almonds, hemp seeds, chia seeds, raw honey, cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg. On the surface, the product is a pretty typical sounding blend. However, the company has left some of the nuts in the liquid, which makes for something that has a very light amount of chew to it. This, as opposed to some of the other products out there that are offering chewable juice, seems like a nice compromise. Labeled as “whole food meal replacement,” it’s certainly nice to have some body to the product, while its nutritional content, including 220 calories, 14g of fiber, and 10g of protein per bottle, provides sustenance. Plus, the flavor of the product is quite good. The almond milk is smooth and slightly creamy, while the added spice and honey give it some depth. And we definitely like the textural difference of the added almonds. As for the outside, the 16 oz. square bottle is clearly a smoothie product, but it otherwise feels incomplete. The copy on the top half of the label is hard to read -- and it also fails to make mention of the company's use of HPP (you’ll find that in small print on the back). Ultimately, we really like the formulation of the product, but we feel as though there’s a much better opportunity if the design were given an overhaul.
