Review: Coconut Lemon Water

Made with coconut water and lemon, this variety of Juicera offers a nice twist on the classic flavor of coconut water. It’s not the first combination of lemon and coconut water that we’ve sampled, but it’s definitely the cleanest tasting. The lemon does a nice job of taking your focus off of the flavor of the coconut water, which, for a product like this, might not taste as good as the market leader for high pressure processed (HPP) juice. Instead, this is basically a unique approach to lemonade, which, unlike lemonade, has no added water or sugar. And being HPP and USDA Organic are certainly plusses. On the packaging front, Juicera has rebranded and this is one of the first flavors that we’ve sampled in the new format. It is without question a cleaner and more polished looking product. However, it’s somewhat easy to miss the Juicera logo. Using black for the logo and white for the text (contrasting colors) is a bit hard to read and the blue background certainly doesn’t help the black text at all. Lastly, we wonder why the company didn’t name this “Lemon Coconut Water.” The current name at least subconsciously implies that there are three ingredients: coconut, lemon, and water. Overall, a big step forward for Juicera, but some fine tuning is still needed.
