Kona Deep, which recently completed a $5.5 million fundraise that will help expand its distribution and production capabilities, is working to educate consumers on how deep ocean water can provide quality hydration from a sustainable source.

This is the fifth investment from the year-old funding arm of Danone, which focuses on supporting innovative and healthy food and beverage companies.

Kona Deep is now available in select retailers in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada and Utah, as well as Sprouts Farmers Marketlocations nationwide, in 500mL and 1L bottles.

The naturally electrolyte-rich bottled water will initially be distributed throughout the natural, grocery and specialty retail channels in the Western United States.
