Review: Pineapple

Made with a single ingredient, Fair Trade Certified pineapple juice, this flavor of Pura Fruta is just as enjoyable and refreshing as the brand's other flavors. The product has been high pressure processed (HPP), which is what this is, really maintains that freshness that you’ll find from the raw fruit. When it comes down to it, which flavor in the line is “best” is more of a personal preference in terms of which fruit you like. They are all consistent and of very high quality. Perhaps the only thing that could improve it -- at least in terms of its marketability -- would be to use organic fruit. Visually, we love the simple and clean look of the bottle. Choosing a 12 oz. square bottle makes it look like a juice product, but also helps set it apart from the larger 16 oz. bottles that most brands are using. And lastly, we like the “Pura Fruta” name. This, combined with the simplicity of the package, makes for something that definitely feels like it can carve out a niche for itself. We do, however, think that the use of HPP and the lack of pasteurization should be more prominently placed on the front of the label. All in all, a really well-executed product.
