Purity Organic Superjuice: Green Lemonade

After our first glance at this product, we were expecting the dark greenish liquid to have a somewhat kale-forward flavor to it. Fortunately, that’s not the case and the product’s flavor profile is true to the Green Lemonade name. Made with water, agave, lemon juice, coconut water, honey, kale puree, spinach puree, lemon extract, chlorella powder and spearmint extract, Green Lemonade has a tart and tangy flavor that’s finished with a modest amount of sweetness. The lemon flavor goes quite nicely with the kale, which adds a note of earthiness to the drink. Lastly, we get just a hint of mint at the finish, which does a nice job of making you want to imbibe again. There’s really not a whole lot else to say about it -- it’s very enjoyable. On the outside, the green liquid provides a nice backdrop to the white label that the company used on this 14 oz. glass bottle. The fact that it’s a green lemonade is something that will probably catch some eyes, although it doesn’t whet the appetite quite the same way a traditional lemonade does. Beyond that, Purity Organic has done a nice job of giving this product a clean and easy-to-read label. And multiple callouts that the drink is organic certainly doesn’t hurt either. Overall, it’s hard to say how this product will fare compared to the brand's regular lemonades, but we found this unique offering to be very enjoyable.
