BDSA: Global Cannabis Sales Expected to Grow 22% in 2022

Legal cannabis sales worldwide are projected to rise 22% this year to over $35 billion, up from $29 billion in 2021, according to a report by Colorado-based cannabis market data supplier BDSA released today.

CELSIUS: 2021 Marks Record Growth Year as Distribution Drives Momentum

Fitness energy drink maker CELSIUS enjoyed record growth in its Q4 2021 and full year earnings report released this week, with revenue up 140% to $314.3 million. Domestic revenue rose 186% to $273 million for the year while international revenue was up 17% to $41.2 million from the previous year. Gross profit was up 111% to $128.2 million.

Diageo Opens New $110 Million Illinois Manufacturing Facility to Increase RTD Production

Diageo North America has opened a 225,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Plainfield, Illinois, expanding the company’s production capacity by more than 25 million cases. Diageo Lincolnway, a $110 million project, includes the installation of two new high-speed canning lines, which will support production of both malt- and spirit-based ready-to-drink canned cocktails (RTDs).
