The Coca-Cola Company Names Jean-Michel R. Ares Chief Information Officer

ATLANTA, Feb. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — The Coca-Cola Company announced today that it has named Jean-Michel R. Ares to the position of Chief Information Officer reporting to President and Chief Operating Officer, Coca-Cola Ventures, Steven J. Heyer. In this role, Mr. Ares will be responsible for overseeing global information and system technology matters for the Company.

Mr. Ares joins the Company from General Electric where he was Chief Information Officer and Vice President of e-business for GE Power Systems, the world leader in power generation technology and services. During his tenure at Power Systems, Jean-Michel led the implementation of Digitization solutions that helped General Electric transform the business ranging from Parts Edge and Outage Optimizer on the Sell-Side, to the implementation of global procurement solutions on the Buy-Side. His team delivered key e-Make solutions for Sales/ITO, Engineering, Manufacturing, Services, Finance and HR, along with the launch of the first wave of General Electric’s Digital Cockpit.

Mr. Ares joined General Electric in 1996, where he held positions of increasing responsibility until his appointment to company officer in 2000.
