(Las Vegas, NV) – February 12, 2007 – XenergyT, the official energy drink of the Ultimate Fighting Championship®(UFC®), officially launched its MyXenergyT (www.myxenergy.com) video social community and kicked the site off with the “Are you the Next Xenergy Girl? Search Contest” announced in front of millions of people at the UFC 67 fight on February 3. Powered by DAVE Networks’ innovative S.O.C.I.A.L. T Platform, the MyXenergy community will allow Xyience users to create profiles of themselves, upload and share videos, message with other MyXenergy members and blog about their favorite Xenergy drink, Xenergy Girls and UFC fighters.
Among the many features on the new MyXenergy community will be fighter profiles of some of the top UFC fighters including Chuck Liddell, Anderson Silva, Rich Franklin, Matt Hughes, Mike Swick, B.J. Penn, Forrest Griffin, and Sean Sherk. MyXenergy visitors will also have access to exclusive UFC Fighter content, including behind the scenes videos and much more. MyXenergy members will be able to take MyXenergy content and syndicate it onto their own blogs and websites using the XyPlayer.
As part of MyXenergy’s launch, visitors will be invited to enter Xenergy’s “Citrus Clear Girl Search,” a contest where women from around the world can upload a video explaining why they should be the next Xenergy Girl. Their videos will be voted on by MyXenergy community members. The top 3 finalists will be flown to Las Vegas to shoot a professional commercial and attend the UFC 69 fight on April 7, 2007. The finalists will be judged that night by a panel of celebrities and the new Xenergy Citrus Clear Girl will be announced at the UFC 69 after-party to be aired live on MyXenergy.com.
The new Xenergy Girl will be the official spokesmodel of the Citrus Clear Xenergy drink. On February 3, 2007, Xyience chose Brittney Kara and Katie Cleary from over 600 applicants to represent Xenergy’s Big Apple flavor. Brittney and Katie were announced during the final competition at a UFC 67 after-party at Body English. Brittney and Katie along with the online winner of the Citrus Clear Girl competition will receive a six-month promotional contract and be featured in Xenergy’s national advertising campaign including commercials, advertisements, banners, brochures and website. She will also be featured at UFC fights, trade shows, after-parties and other promotional appearances.
“Xenergy drinkers represent a new high energy lifestyle and we wanted to embrace them with an online community where they could channel their Xenergy,” says Adam Roseman, CEO of Xyience. “Working with DAVE Networks, we were able to quickly build a community that leverages the new Web 2.0.”
DAVE Networks’ S.O.C.I.A.L. platform enables brands to create quick time-to-market, interactive video social community portals that function as a public hub where customers, fans, and users can develop dynamic personalized profiles, upload and share content, blog/video blog, comment on message boards, and much more with this turnkey, white label technology platform. Users can discover, acquire, consume, upload, and share media from their own website and/or those of their friends.
