TAMPA, FLORIDA, September 4, 2007 — Cott Beverages announced the launch of the first glow-in-the-dark carbonated soft drink packaging with its seasonal Halloween Orange Cream promotion. “We are excited about this innovative launch on several levels,” said Dave Vautrin, Vice President of Innovation for Cott Beverages. “The fantastic taste coupled with the 33% less sugar than regular orange cream soda, low sodium and innovative glow-in-the-dark graphics has turned this trick into a real treat.”
The 8-oz cans will be sold in a 6-pack format with a retail price between $1.99 and $2.49 and are already generating considerable interest from customers. Retailers will showcase the Halloween Orange Cream Soda on display-ready pallets decorated with eye catching point-of-sale, including colorful and Halloween themed trays, pallet wraps and banners.
Cott’s Halloween promotion program is the start of a series of seasonal “in-and-out” projects for the Company. In the coming year, Cott plans to develop and launch additional holiday-themed pallet programs as it rolls out new innovative products and packaging, while continuing to offer customers and their consumers great quality and value in non-alcoholic beverages.
