Boxed Water Opens New Bottling and Distribution Center

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Boxed Water is Better®, the sustainable boxed water company, today announced the company has opened a new bottling and distribution center in Holland, Mich. The new 11,000 sq.ft. building is nearly seven times larger than the facility it leaves behind. The new space is the result of explosive growth for Boxed Water, which is now available in 14 states and markets in Canada and overseas. The company can now produce 250,000 of its signature 500ml units in one week, and store more than 506,000 units, the equivalent of 14 truckloads, under one roof.

“Our filling capacity can convert one skid of cartons into an entire semi-truck of finished product, but until now, we had no place to store it,” said Benjamin Gott, founder of Boxed Water. “We can now plan well in advance of our major commitments, while still servicing our growing number of distribution partners.”

Boxed Water recently announced an agreement with C3 Presents, producers of premier music festivals such as Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and many other national and international events. The Boxed Water container is more sustainable than plastic bottled water, with more than 75 percent of its packaging derived from renewable resources. The trees used to make Boxed Water come from certified, well-managed forests. These forests remain healthy and stable through ongoing replanting while removing CO2 from the atmosphere.
