Boxed Water Adds Two New Product Sizes

LOS ANGELES – As it prepares for its appearance at Expo West (booth #6039), Boxed Water, an eco-friendly and BPA-free alternative to bottled water, celebrates a year of exciting business milestones. Among its latest developments, Boxed Water had added two new offerings to its product line, widened its retail distribution, and is launching a new marketing campaign. These efforts build upon the tremendous success of 2014 where Boxed Water tripled its retail sales.

New Products

Boxed Water now offers two new products, a one-liter box and 500 ml six-pack to complement its existing 500 ml offering in single, 12 and 24 packs. The one- liter box ($1.99 SRP) was developed in response to both retailer and consumer demand for a larger single-serve product. The 500ml six-pack ($6.99 SRP) supports Boxed Water’s entry into grocery and mass accounts while providing increased value to consumers. Boxed Water containers will continue to be filled in Holland, Michigan and triple filtered for purity using reverse osmosis, carbon filtration, and UV. Boxed Water containers are recyclable, 100 percent BPA and phthalate free, and exert a smaller overall environmental footprint than traditional water bottles.

Increased Distribution

Found in more than 6,000 stores across the country, Boxed Water has more than 60 distributors nationwide including premiere distributors such as Central Beverage, Great State, and Seaview. In 2015, Boxed Water will more than double its distribution in the U.S. market through increased penetration in key regions and new authorizations in grocery, convenience store, mass, and club channels. New retailers to date include select regions of Whole Foods, Kroger, and Costco stores. The new products and increased distribution in Canada and Mexico are also expected to support growth with total sales projected to quadruple in 2015. Wider distribution will be supported by a new marketing campaign in 2015 with the tagline “Reach for Better”. Tactics include evergreen and activation specific collateral, POS displays, social media and PR efforts, partnerships with like-minded non-profits, and field marketing at events.
