This Week’s Latest Product Launches

With January resets coming up quick, this week saw the announcement of several new products set to hit shelves at the start of the new year. Here’s a quick look at this week’s notable new launches and release announcements.

Super Coffee

After releasing Maple Pumpkin earlier this fall, Super Coffee announced that on Monday it will be reintroducing its winter seasonal flavor — White Chocolate Peppermint — in stores nationwide in a single-serving bottle ($33.99 per 12-pack), K-Cup pods (10-count box for $9.99) and Super Creamer (3-pack for $19.99) varieties. Available while supplies last.

A2 Milk Company

Following last week’s launch by NotCo, there’s more innovation coming in chocolate milk. This week, The a2 Milk Company announced its collaboration with the iconic candy brand to create a natural chocolate milk using Hershey’s chocolate and a2’s 2% reduced-fat dairy milk. The product will arrive on retail shelves in January in shelf-stable 8 oz. bottles available in singles, 6-packs and 18-packs, as well as in 59 oz. refrigerated cartons.

SZZL

Sparkling tea brand SZZL has announced the third addition to its flavor lineup: Citrus Punch, made with citrus, hibiscus and vanilla flavors. The product is available in 12-packs for $30 on the brand’s website.

G FUEL

Gamer-focused energy drink brand G FUEL is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sega’s iconic character Sonic the Hedgehog with the release of the latest flavor in its Sonic-themed collection: Party Punch, which takes its inspiration (think fruity cereal) from the Sweet Mountain stage in the game Sonic Colors: Ultimate. The product is available in 40-serving powder tubs on GFUEL.com. Each serving contains 15 calories and 140 mg of caffeine, plus proprietary energy and focus-enhancing complexes.

Sambazon

The açaí-based beverage maker is rolling out a new flavor: Dragon Fruit Berry Ginger, made with dragon fruit (also known as pitaya), pomegranate, mixed berry and açaí juices spiked with notes of zesty ginger. The flavor is available in 100% rPET 32 oz. ($5.99 SRP) and 64 oz. club size bottles ($8.99 SRP) at select Target, Whole Foods, Publix and Costco stores nationwide.

Heavy Hitters

What does the future of cannabis beverages look like? According to the brand Heavy Hitters, maybe something like HVY Grand, a super-premium, single-strain cannabis tincture that delivers 1,000 mg THC per 1 liter bottle. Made with the highly coveted Acapulco Gold strain and sold in a collectible box featuring images from noted cannabis photographer Erik Christiansen (@EricNugshots), a limited run of 500 units of HVY Grand are now available at select California dispensaries for $200 per bottle.

Sonic/Jel Sert

Sonic is bringing the flavors of the drive-thru to consumers’ homes with SONIC Drink Mix Singles-To-Go, available in Cherry Limeade, Strawberry Lemonade and the restaurant’s signature Ocean Water flavors. Manufactured via the company’s partnership with Jel Sert, the zero-sugar mixes, sold in boxes of single-use packets, will be available at HEB and select Walmart locations starting this fall, and at all Dollar General locations in February 2022.
