Yah Yah Yah is a new family of Arabic-inspired ready-to-drink cold brew lattes. We sampled three varieties in 8 oz cans: Baklava, Dubai-Style and Cardamom. Each contain milk and have 90 to 100 calories each, with 12 to 14 grams of sugar from agave and honey.
Things that stand out:
- In a category that typically coalesces around the same vanilla and caramel flavors, these are a breath of fresh air. All three SKUs do a great job injecting exciting, nuanced flavors – like honey, pistachio, and cardamom – into the familiar, comforting guise of a creamy cold brew latte.
- The cans are distinctly colored coded and eye-catching, while “Arabic Coffee” and the individual SKU names keep things simple and intuitive for curious consumers.
- At 80 mg of caffeine and at most 100 calories, these can stretch across use occasions throughout the day.
Things to consider:
- While we enjoyed the sweetness, the flavors and milk overshadows a bit of the pure coffee experience on these.
- While the cans are striking in color, the label illustration itself is a bit generic for such a differentiated product. The brand name – whether its meant to be “Yah” or “Yah Yah Yah” – itself is not totally clear either.
